I'm going to Abbotsford in April instead of March now. The YSA roped me into going to the Oscars so I can't leave until after. But I guess it's better because Louisa is coming down/over from Spruce Grove at the same time and she thinks April will be a better time frame anyways. Plus I'll have more time to get things together instead of leaving like, immediately after my birthday.
I wrote down the Greyhound schedule for April 3rd and what I'm allowed to bring, and I've already started making a list of things I need to pack, and whether or not they can go in checked baggage. Pretty much the only thing that can't go into checked baggage is a laptop. Which is fine because that will totally fit in my purse. Especially once I get a MacBook and it's smaller than this 15" piece of crap. Plus I'll be able to use it on the bus ride over. It'll only be four hours. I'm not complaining considering Louisa's ride is going to be 15 hours. Also not complaining because I'll have music and/or movies and I'm allowed to bring food on. I'm pretty sure I'll be fine.
But if you guys can think of any non-ordinary things I might need to bring, let me know. I mean, I know the obvious ones. But if there are non-obvious ones, like "that crayon you hide in that shoebox because you'll need it in Abbotsford." Or "that one item of clothing you don't like but need to bring anyways because one of your friends has the matching one and it'll be funny if you both wear them."
Something like that.*
Anyways, today's song is Pokemon, What Happened to You? By Alex Day.
*No, I don't actually have a crayon hiding in a shoebox. I just looked over and saw a crayon on my bookshelf.
And the only matching thing I can think of is earrings (Jade has the same pair in yellow. I used to have yellow and green but I recently threw them out. OH, and Hailey and I have the same hat.) But enough of this.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go see a man about a packing list.

Wow you must be so excited about going to Abby!
ReplyDeleteAnd Mardy is super excited for his cousin-type of figure. I just told him tonight. I wasn't sure how I was going to tell him because I didn't want to have "the talk" with him yet but he didn't ask any questions so that is good. I know the day will come eventually, but I just don't want to spoil the innocence.
Woah, I am totally sheltering him. Dang. That is pretty much what my parents did to me.
Hahah, sounds good. But you really should bring that matching fur bikini with shark teeth embroidered into the nipples. We look killer in those.
ReplyDeletehow about... a cap? you'll never know when you'll need a cap.
