So I had a weird dream last night, but I can't remember it. So I'll spare you. This is going to be long enough as it is. However, I think it was related to Phil of the Future. Anyways. I just got back from YSA.
We were supposed to be filming our Harry Potter spoof, but Terra had realized there were a bunch of problems with doing three scenes from each book (I pointed this out early on, Terra just caught on now) and she was sick so she didn't show up. Even though Cindy and I brought TONS of props. I broke some wooden hangers to get wands, and brought glow-in-the-dark stars and Cindy brought facial hair and hats and wigs, and it would have been beautiful. We decided as a group to just do the first movie. Zak started writing the script, but gave up and went to play basketball.
And I was totally wearing pink tights and my Superman shorts. They were a huge hit. Speculation was made about us doing a Superwoman movie instead, because I already had the shorts. And it would have been Superman, but I guess cross-dressing is frowned upon (I still don't understand why. Psh.)
Anyways, Zak went home early because he had to go to work in the morning, and he's going to write the script this week, e-mail it to us, then we'll start filming on Saturday. Hopefully. Toni wants to sing a song in church next week, but she wanted it to be a guy/girl duet. After Zak turned her down, I offered to sing bass. We then proceeded to sing a duet. I was an awesome bass. She high-fived me. But apparently Jeremy already agreed to do it with her, so I am not needed. Whateva. We found some awesome luau stuff in one of the storage rooms, so I got all dressed up in a grass skirt, a lei, and Toucan Sam, and suggested the most amazing idea ever: Harry Potter goes to Hawaii. Right? Zak shot it down. But Cindy drew Harry and Hagrid on the beach, so I think she was down.
Anyways, Toni was majorly hungry and she convinced Raven to go to O'Brians with her. Then they convinced everyone else to go. So everyone that didn't go home after YSA (Toni, Raven, Anthony, Nathan, Amanda, Cindy, me) went to O'Brians. Toni asked if I was coming, and I was like: I brought no money. So Amanda was all: I'll pay for you. Then I was like: I have no ride home. And Raven was like: where do you live? And I said 'downtown-ish' and they informed me that O'Brians is downtownish. So we drove to O'Brians. Blarneys didn't start until 9, and it was only a quarter to, so we went to the statue of Ogopogo, and we went to the memorial stand with all the names engraved on it of those who died in the wars. Then when it was nine, we finally got to go! I had pachos for the first time in my life, and oh my goodness. My life is now complete. They were so amazing.
Blarneys is basically when all appys are 2 for 10 dollars. So Nathan got two pachos/pachoes? and Amanda and I got zucchini and chicken wings. Then we shared. I don't know what everyone else got, but I'm pretty sure everyone got pachos. I'm pretty sure I'm going there for my birthday. Also, Shoshana and Alex, when you guys get out here, we are going to Kelly O'Brians for Blarney time. I will never look at potatoes the same.
Anyways. Pretty sure I just went on about food for a good six paragraphs. So I'll spare you the rest in detail and sum it up in a few words. Trogdor. Lime water. Food. Ogopogo!! Beach. Crayons. Crayons. Crayons. Three times because Raven brought them all over to our table. Sunshine. Lollipops. Rainbows. Yetis. YSA. Amazing. That was my night in a lot less words than before.
So the song today is... craaap. I wanted to put a song that I've already used, because I've been listening to it a lot.
Okays, how about... Dance with my Father by Luther Vandross. I've always found this song really depressing, and I was listening to it a lot, right before Luther Vandross himself died. I was all torn up. This song totally reminds me of when my dad used to give my brother and me piggybacks before bed when we were like four and six.
I used to think it was "He left a note under my sheet." Because that makes more sense than a dollar. Now the song is ruined for me.
Have a lovely day.
PS remember that part in Wayne's World when Wayne sees Cassandra for the first time and Dreamweaver starts playing? And he turns to the camera, and goes: she will be mine. Oh yes, she will be mine. Well, it played at KOB's tonight and one of the male workers said to the male manager: you will be mine. Oh yes, you will be mine.
It was awesome. I think I was the only one that caught it, but I laughed.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go see a man about a Norbert.

Hahaha, wow, sounds like good times! And that Wayne's World bit made me laugh. I need to watch that movie again haha.
ReplyDeleteHow about we watch that movie upon our reunion because I actually haven't seen it? Sound good?
ReplyDeleteAnd I don't know why, but this song reminds me of that depressing Christmas song about the shoes and the dying Mum. Sad.
