So because I love you all dearly, I thought you should be the first ones to know. Spencer and I are starting a band. I got such a huge response about becoming a country singer that I decided to go for it. And Spencer has offered to play guitar for me because he knows I suck. Ashley said she would play recorder for us, but I don't think she's actually as serious as we are. We'll see. I think when I go down to Abbotsford, Spencer and I will meet up and discuss band names, get some lyrics down, and see if our sounds mesh well together. We except our EP to be out sometime early next year.
Also, last night while my mum was drunk, she ate three pieces of quiche, three pieces of pie, some bagels, and some pistachios. Not counting the calories from beer. She doesn't remember any of this. I don't know whether to be angry or impressed. I mean, she ate my dinner and all. But it was still kind of impressive for a woman so tiny to eat more food than both my grown brothers. Anyways.
I figured in celebration of mine and Spencer's new band, I'd leave you all with a country song. It's not super country, but there's enough twang for some people to cringe. I've just always loved Reba McEntire. When I was like, six, and my sister Beth was 8, my grandma gave us all her old tapes and we got like five Reba tapes. I also remember a Gloria Estafan (Estefan?) tape. Man, I loved it. My sister and I hit the jackpot that day.
Anyways. The song is called You Lie and it's by... Reba. The main reason I'm posting this is because of her HAIR. HOLY CRAP, HER HAIR. LOOK AT HER HAIR! This music video is so beautiful.
PS Spencer and I are not really starting a band. We'd be awesome, though, if we were.
ALSO. Finished season 4 of LOST today. I expect I'll be starting season 5 in a few minutes. I'm one season away from being all caught up. CRAZY.

PS Anna, I totally told you I'd post a picture of my shoes on dailybooth, and I didn't. I'm posting them here instead, for everyone to see. They're a size too small but I had to buy them.

HAHAHA. I love your mum. Truly. And Reba too. LA's grandma was wearing the same Reba T-shirt both days we visited her. I was impressed.
ReplyDeletelovely shoes!!
ReplyDeleteA BAND! omg I TOTALLY call being number one fan, CALL IT! or at least put me on triangle or something...
XD
haha that is some impressive hair
Alright I was going to catch up yesterday but then I didn't get the chance and I had to study for that midterm I had this morning. Which went well btw.
ReplyDeleteI would like to congratulate you on your band-starting awesomeness. Oh, and that is definitely enough twang. When I saw the name of the song I instantly thought of you and Shosh saying, "you lie like a rug."
Anyways, now I have a lot of comments to make so I'm going onto the next day.
