So last night I finished the first season of LOST, despite Anna telling me it wasn't worth it. I gave up watching after she said that, but then I started again because I can't just watch the pilot episode and leave it. I have to know what happens. By then, it was like one am. No big deal, right? So I went to bed. And lay there for an hour. At which point, I basically gave up, watched Mean Girls (but my computer froze like, halfway through) so I rebooted it and ran a disk check (while I slept. I didn't stay up for that) and just put my cd player on because I need music to sleep. Luckily, I didn't have to change the cd or anything, because I had put Jenny Phillips on a few days earlier.
And I actually wasn't able to use my cd played until a few days ago. I have ONE electrical outlet in my room. This house was built in the 50's or something, when children didn't have electrical things. But I have my computer permanently plugged into that bottom slot, and then I have my lamp in the top. Luckily, I have one of those things you plug into your outlet and it gives you two more (there are three on it, but we're taking one away, so... I can do math). The only problem is that with MY outlet (stupid piece of crap) the wire won't stay in unless it's three-pronged, like my laptop charger. So I have to bend the three-outlet thingy up, and push my side table against the wall to keep it there. Even then, my blow-dryer never worked so I had to use it in the bathroom (which pretty much made me give up on using a blow-dryer). And my straightener would turn off if I moved it too much. So I pretty much couldn't be bothered with my cd player (Senor Player, in case you were wondering. He's got a mustache). Anyways, my mom gave me a power bar which I am now using. Like a boss.
So anyways, this morning my alarm went off at 7:30. I was pooped, so I turned on the snooze for 30 minutes. It went off again at 8:00, so I got up. It only took me twenty minutes to get ready anyways, because I'm awesome. Then I waited by the window for a long long time. Mildred (my ride, not my gnome) said she left her house at 8:30 every Sunday. And she lives, like right around the corner. But she didn't come. So at five to nine, I just came back here. And now I'm writing this. I mean, I'm really tired, so I was kind of half hoping she wouldn't show up. But I knew that there was only a small chance I could even fall back asleep. So I reasoned with myself, saying either of these situations would make me happy. But she's not here. So I'm going to try to sleep.
Today's song is a really awesome one Alex sent me yesterday. I am IN LOVE with it. And then while I was watching LOST, Jack and his (fiancee, at the time) played HEART AND SOUL on piano! Heart and Soul is the song Alex sent my by the way. Should've clarified before. It's by Al Bowlly. And he's awesome.
I can't be bothered with countdowns right now.
Alex, Shosh, talk to you tonight on Skype? Take a nap, Alex.
That way you won't go to bed before Shosh gets there.
Love you all
