Shoshana and I are talking on Skype right now, but she's away for about an hour, writing on her blog. So I thought I would also take the time to post to mine. It won't take an hour, but whatever.
You know when you do something realllly stupid, and then you spend your time thinking about it for every second immediately after it happens, and you have that awkward, guilt-type feeling in the pit of your stomach?
Yeah, it sucks. And I don't know how to make it better, if that's even possible. I am an idiot. And I'm not dead, but I'm sort of getting there. Ack. I can't wait for Wednesday, when I can complain to you in the closest way we can get to IRL (minus webcams, but I don't have one) at the moment. So yeah, I'm basically feeling really crappy right now. Not even Air Supply is helping. Ashley helped a little on Sunday, and there's probably nothing you guys can do about it, but I still have an obligation to tell you. Us being best friends and all.
Anyways. I'm pretty sure it's time for a themed week. Let me check. IT IS. This week's theme is DUETS. So basically, we're going to have some of my favorite duets/plus-ets. Plus-ets meaning like... Lots of people singing. I only say this because today is kind of a duet, but not. You'll understand when you find out that it is EL TANGO DE ROXANNE from Moulin Rouge. I don't know the other guy's name, or the girl's name, but it's EWAN MCGREGOR. This is one of my favorite scenes in the movie. Just because of his voice. It's sort of in between a duet and a quartet. But Nini isn't really singing, I just count her because of the whole "don't worry, Shakespeare, you'll get your ending. Once the Duke gets his. End. In." before the song starts. That part isn't in the video, but anyways. And it'd sound weird if it were just two guys doing a duet. So it's a plus-et. Because of all the people in the scene. Shuddup.
And as stated by Shoshana Okano, "Ewan McGregor is an every gender thing."

ReplyDeleteGuess who is chilling in the Vancouver airport?? Yeah that would be me. I'll be listening to the song when I get to Ottawa or when I find my head phones... which ever happens first I get. My mom also informed me that I am not changing planes in Kelowna which means I am porbs not getting off the plane which means I can't get my butt to a pay phone to call you since my # sends the signal all the way back to Ontario. But I do want to call you. Wow, this will be the closest we've all physically been to seeing each other since summer. Gosh. Anyways, I'll talk to you soon dearest Rissa-poo. Don't ask, it works.
