So, the majority of this sewing expedition consisted of me ripping seams, then sewing it up. Then when I finished the sewing, I remembered my hand sewing sucks. So I took them out and used Liqui-Stitch. (WOOT). Then I let it dry overnight, and poked holes in the fabric with scissors, put the string through and now I have a lace-up dress. I had to get my mum to do it up for me, because I can't bend my arm that way. And there are a couple places where I didn't put enough holes, so you can see my shirt through it. But as least it's not my skin, yeah?
Anyways... I don't have any "Before" pictures, but here is the "After":
I'll just have to pull tighter on that one place on the top. But I'll probably wear something over it anyways. Anyways. That's what I've been doing to stay productive - ruining a dress I'll never wear again to (kind of) save one I wasn't able to wear because of the crap zipper.
:)
I think it looks good! You are being so severe on your skills. Plus, you have got to give yourself credit for coming up with such a brilliant idea.
