Today, mom took me shopping. I found a red suitcase from the 60's - I wanted a powder blue one, but it was only 6.99 and it was a SAMSONITE. Those things are amazing. So I bought it. And I bought a dress which I may use for Ms Frizzle. But I may not. It is definitely a teacher's dress but I don't know if it's Frizzle enough. If I can find a better dress, I'll buy it. If not, maybe I will suck it up OR change my costume. IDK.

Also today I realized that Ari Hest sounds like Bon Iver. But only slightly. This is Bon Iver.

So Tuesday. I had my dentist appointment. And it was awful. The actual appointment was alright. But I need to get ALL FOUR of my wisdom teeth out. And I will need a few days off for that. BUT GUESS WHAT. I can't take any days off until January. Because November and December are Blackout at work. And then in January, I will no longer have dental through work. Because I will be a student. Not a manager. And I get dental through the college but I don't know if it's any good.

But GAH. So anyways, I have three appointments for November: 1 cleaning and 2 fillings. That should be fun.

Here is half of an ALL THAT episode. Skip ahead to 8:37 for your SONG. Or, because you miss the show so much... watch ALL OF IT.

MONDAY. Actual Thanksgiving day. I did not do a lot today. I went to work and then Hailey and I watched TV and HERE I AM. Yay?

In other news, I have a dentist appointment tomorrow. The first in about four years. Possibly more. So that should be painful and exciting. I will probably feel like an adult. A poor adult, but an adult all the same. One who has her own health insurance and goes to the dentist :)

Anywho, the song today is going to be The Goldfish Song. By Kina Grannis. I'm not sure if you've heard it. I'm not sure if I've posted it. I'm not even sure if I care. You will listen to it (possibly again) and you will ENJOY IT.

Might as well give you a Sunday post as I will have no time tomorrow.

Today is (Canadian) Thanksgiving. And I have got to say, there is plenty I'm grateful for. If you're interested, there are two previous Thanksgiving notes on my facebook (and a new status). And they have pretty much stayed the same.

So in honor of the turkeys who gave their lives today, the song is going to be Thankful by Josh Groban

What a beautiful man.

Okay. Today I worked. And then Hailey and I watched Beauty and the Beast. YAY.

The song is going to be the Mountain Goats today. You know it had to be.

So I think, out of the songs from the new CD, I have narrowed it down to a favorite. It took a while, and I can still listen to the whole CD and not hate a single song (like with several CD's I've had before).

But my favorite has got to be High Hawk Season. And it better be your favorite, too. Because it is SWELL.

Right. Laterz.

Okay, I forgot about Friday. I'm failing once again!

I'm just listening to the new Mountain Goats album (which I totes bought and will totes give to Shoshana when I come down next, if she wants it) and it is BEAUTIFUL.

However, I am going to save them for another day. For I will REMEMBER to post one of their songs later but I will not remember this song (even though it's amazing).

Even Now by William Fitzsimmons, who I have been listening to a lot lately as well. He is a beautiful soul.

So Alex and I have the same feelings for Abba as we do for cake. I think it's going to be a good relationship. This is why we are fraaans.

Today, I worked. Seems to be a common theme right now, but it will end on Sunday. And then I'm back to a semi-normal work schedule, wherein I actually get some days off in a week. So that's nice. Also, Hailey and I watched Cyberbully, which was one of the worst movies in the world, with a few laughable (but for the wrong reasons) moments and a decent soundtrack. First time I've heard Hannah Georgas somewhere other than my iTunes or Alex's.

Alright. So the song today is Angus and Julia Stone's cover of You're the One That I Want from Grease. And if you don't love Angus and Julia Stone already then... you're wrong.

Also, I keep spelling it "Anus" and that is really funny to me.

YAY. Enjoy your Thursday.

Got to be quick because I'm meeting mom for breakfast before work. In half an hour. So I still need to make my dinner for work. And get dressed, but hey, that's secondary.

Today's song is Winner Takes it All. Like I need to tell you who it's by.

3.03

TUESDAY!
My district manager was down, so he had fun messing up my store and we'll have fun changing it back this week. At any rate, I did lots of work. And was tired. And the song for that is going to be Cinema by Benny Benassi ft. Gary Go. Because I heard it about 12 times on Sirius Radio on Tuesday.

xx

3.02

Looks like I did it again. Not only have I been sucking at this, but I also made the mistake of thinking there are 8 days in a week, as evidenced by post "2.08". I'll fix that. Maybe no one will notice.

Anyways. This is for Monday. And my Monday was spent at work. So that was fun. And it was Connor's birthday so I wished him a happy birthday while including a Mean Girls reference - October 3rd is the day Cady Heron asked Aaron Samuels what day it was and he answered, "It's October 3rd". I don't know if Connor appreciated it as much as he should have.

Right, so the song is going to be Someone Like You, covered by Luke Conard, Alex Goot, and Chad Shugg. Normally I am opposed to Adele covers, but I just love the three of them so much. I had to.

I haven't started GC yet because I don't like livestreams because when I watch from home, I have this need to move around and do things so I wait until it's over, then watch the clips all separately. It's fantastic. So I'm going to do that.

Anywho, the song for today is another cover. Not an official theme, I just like lots of covers and sometimes need to get them out all at once. It's Telephone by the Morning Pages.

xx

2.07

I worked today. So I didn't get to watch GC. So I'm doing doubles tomorrow. It will be beautiful.

Anyways, work was uneventful and then Hailey and I caught up on almost all our tv show episodes we missed while I was away and she was working. So that's it. Also Merlin and Doctor Who but those are both fresh wounds I still can't talk about.

The song is Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word, covered by Nataly Dawn.

Enjoy!

All caught up! Happy Friday, people.

It's not super happy for me because I have to go home today and that is sad-making. Buuut I had a lovely, restful week here in Abbotsford and it was nice to see most of my friends and it was AWESOME to be on an awkward group date last night. It wasn't that awkward at all. Though, at one point, I was stirring the spaghetti and the wooden spoon I was using snapped in half. Lost the bottom half in the spaghetti for about twenty minutes. Later, we held a funeral.

Anyways. Pictures are on Facebook and memories are in my mind and I'm too lazy to leave either of those on my blog.

Please accept this song as an apology. It's one of my brother's favorites. I think it's alright. Sunshine by Atmosphere.

2.05

Now, I spent my Wednesday helping my dad pack things and move to his new house. We made about four trips back and forth and that was just oodles of fun. Then I went to Institute with Shosh and Tayja and had a blasty-blast.

Other than that, not much happened.

The song of the day is Prettiest Thing by Oh Darling.

xx

2.04

Yeah, I just realized that I forgot about this for a few nights. My bad! I guess I'm having too much fun in Abbotsford.

On Tuesday, I went to see Crystine and Jaylene and because Crystine is on bed rest, we just sat in bed and talked. And also played Settlers of Catan which is the greatest game ever and I need to buy it.

And that is basically all that happened, except a nice talk with Jenae and hanging out with everyone at night.

Song for Wednesday is In Deep by Shere

Okay, yes, it was from the movie PROM. But I like the song. So be quiet.

2.03

So today was spent editing footage from Sunday's awkward date-invite fest, and then calling everyone back and telling them each a different theme for the date.

Then Jenae took me to the mall and we split up so she could return her hair-care products and I could visit Mitchell. I bought him food as Cameron didn't show up for his shift and Mitchell was alone ALL FLIPPING DAY. I got there an hour before close, but that was probably two hours sooner than he would have eaten so I'm sure what little I could do was appreciated anyways.

AND THEN Shanna and Cierra picked me up from the mall. We went to Shanna's house and watched Win a Date with Tad Hamilton and then Material Girls as we ate (junk) food and felt like vomiting. I still have tons left over, though, so it's cool.

After the movies ended, we went for a walk in the Abbotsford MIST and through Discovery Trail. In the woods. When it was dark. Cierra was really terrified and I just kept talking about horror movies. Then we went for a drive and drove past the KKK hang-out and we stopped whenever the rain got really heavy and danced outside. Otherwise, we just screamed along to Hilary Duff songs. It is 1 am and I am soaked and I think Shosh fell asleep on the couch waiting for me/reading her scriptures so I feel bad for taking so long but I had fun and it was nice to see old friends. And Shoshana is asleep in her own bed now.

Lo, if you are reading this, I think you will be happy about this next bit: Eventually, I caved and listened to Cody Simpson. And I began to enjoy it. And this next song is off his NEW EP, Coast to Coast.

I haven't listened to all the songs yet but I am glad that his voice is a bit deeper and also, I think in about ten years, I might find him physically attractive.

Anyhow. The song of the day is going to be Crazy But True.

xx

2.02

Hellurrrr.

SUNDAY. Today was fantastic. We (and when I say "we", I mean Shoshana and Jenae) called around and asked a bunch of boys and girls out on dates for an AWKWARD GROUP DATE this Thursday.

And I don't mean I think it will be awkward, I mean I KNOW it will be awkward. As in, we are purposely setting this up to make it awkward. People must arrive at exactly 6:47 this Thursday evening, ring the doorbell upstairs and ask for the basement suite. Daters do not know who they will be dating, and who they will be dating will change throughout the evening. We will serve spaghetti and caesar salad and garlic bread, all with EXTRA garlic, and lemon-water with lemon seeds left in every glass. We have called people we don't really know and Shoshana almost asked out a married man. More on that later.

Anyways. I look forward to that. Tomorrow I am going to see Shanna and Cierra which is very happy-making as is most of my life right now. This time at my home away from home was much needed.

So the song is Shining by Kristian Leontiou because it is in the Material Girls Soundtrack and also you smell like Satan's armpit.

Anyways. LOVE YOU.

I am sitting in bed/couch right now and the computer is really close but I don't have the energy so I am mobile blogging!

Today was amazing! We did not go to the Dan Mangan concert, which was unfortunate. But we did watch Emperor's New Groove/nap then go to the RS Broadcast and holy blast from the past! Saw someone I never thought I would. An old high school friend I adore was there and she looked so happy and just in love with life and Melissa looks so happy and seeing everyone so happy is very happy-making for me.

Alas, I will stop the paragraphical rant and focus on the song. After all the driving and the music choices while driving, y'all knew it had to be Josh Groban.

Jenae's favorite.... Galileo.

Now, I can't put videos into these posts so you will have to get it from YouTube or (I hope) your iTunes library.

Week one is OVER. I think I'll do better with year 3 than I did with year 2. Wherein I gave up after about 10 weeks because it was pathetic.

First day back in Abby. Woke up too early, witnessed an epic verbal assault before boarding, arrived safely, managed to half surprise Shoshana, but she got home too early! Poop. Anyways. Shosh and I went to the mall, bought some things, drove around a bit, had some good times, etc etc and now she is washing her face, so I've got about an hour to write this but figured I wouldn't take that long.

Anyways. On the list of songs I have Recently Purchased (and with this one I am honest-to-goodness not kidding you). It's kind of a strange song but I just love it so much. It reminds me of living on Parkview, at that rare age when all my siblings and I seemed to get along and we would hang out on the trampoline and in our treehouse and light tiny firecrackers and just laugh at everything. So maybe I'll enjoy it more than you. But the banjo playing is pretty great.

It is.... the Devil Went Down to Georgia but the Charlie Daniels Band.

Enjoy your Saturday. We are going to see Dan Mangan.
(In retrospect, DM would have been a better person to choose for today's song but... ah well. It's not like you haven't already heard all his songs.)

Nothing matters right now because ABBOTSFORD.

It's 1 am and I am tired and I will still be tired when I wake up REALLY EARLY tomorrow morning, but I don't CARE.

Today's song is by Amy Kuney. And y'all know how I love my Amy Kuney. She has had a few new singles lately, and she is the ONE artist I will always, 100% of the time, download legally from. I know it sounds horrible but I like way too much music to pay for it all. But I am super loyal to Amy and I buy everything! And when I can't buy something from iTunes because it's only on Youtube, I download it from Youtube, and double purchase something else. That dedicated.

Anyways. Of her new singles, my favorite is Gasoline Rainbows

close second: Where I Can't Follow
close third: Waiting For You
Happy Friday, and Shoshana... Happy birthday!
