1.05

So I was at work today and then I was like "OH YEAH. I FORGOT TO DO A BLOG POST". But I didn't have the app and it doesn't work from my iPhone, so I couldn't do anything until now.

So last night, mom and I played Scrabble. Naturally, I lost. Whatever.

Today's song that I have Recently Purchased is I Should Go by Levi Kreis, which you may have heard by now because I have been obsessed with it for about two or three months now. Here you go!

1.04

I just woke up so I don't know what's happening but I remembered I needed to do this thing. I refuse to fall behind.

So yesterday was cool. I worked, then Hailey and I watched a movie (I AM NUMBER FOUR) and it was beautiful.

Anyways. I must be at work in twenty minutes, so I will hurry this along. Yes, I know I woke up very late. I went to bed at 2:30 so I am VERY tired and needed as much sleep as I could get while still being able to get lunch ready and everything.

Right. The song is going to be by O.A.R. And I know this isn't NEW music. They've been going for about 15 years so it's definitely a possibility you've heard this song. I just like it because in the beginning, for some reason, it sounds like a Stars song and I just enjoy it. I had it on my iPod but then I enjoyed it and felt guilty so I actually purchased it on iTunes.

Enjoy your Wednesday. I know I won't.

1.03

I'm watching Merlin right now so I'll be quick, y'all.

1. They are gay for each other.
2. Richard Wilson has glorious hair.
3. Anthony Stewart-Head is my favorite person and was probably one of my first celebrity crushes.
4. I am an official member of the fan club for Katie McGrath's boobs.

Anyways, the song. Keeping up with the quasi-theme of Songs I have Recently Actually Purchased (etc, etc), we have Josh Kelley. He is married to Katherine Heigl, btw, and he is fierce. You will probably know this song, but I still love it enough to recommend it and make you listen to it again (or for the first time, if you're lucky). Almost Honest.

Word. So let that spice up your life (and your Tuesday) and I will blog at you later.

HAAAAAAALLLO.

So today, I made a video. Skyped with Chelsea. And Alex. And almost Shosh but... well, you know her. I also spent a large amount of time watching Parks and Rec today. Which was beautiful.

I don't have much to say. So I'll get to the song. This is from the list of "Songs I've Actually Purchased on iTunes as If I Was A Responsible Citizen or Something". And I think that might be happening a lot this week. Got to catch y'all up on what I've been listening to. And by "y'all" I mean the three people who read my blog. I thought it was two but Lo reads it. HI, LO.

Anyways, the song is by Ari Hest. You have undoubtedly heard Cranberry Lake because I know I used it at least once on PANSED, but in reality, probably many more times. Anyways. I recently took advantage of the whole "Complete My Album" thing (after maybe like, a year) and I've been listening to his beautiful voice for a while. So enjoy The Weight.

Enjoy your Mondays

1.01

Oh hey there!
This thing exists.

Okay, so happy new (school) year, everybody! Mostly Alex. Because of the two people who read my blahg, Alex is the only one going back to school. WHICH IS EXCITING.

I'm excited to be starting this up again, though I'm not sure how long I'll keep it up. I'm always really excited because I have stuff to tell you but most of the time, there is nothing to report from day to day. So for the first week or so, it will be wonderful and then I will get boring and sick of my own rantings and have nothing to report.

Anyways. You two are the only friends outside of Kelowna (okay, and Anna) who know about my secrety secret. I guess it's not really a secret, but it's just something really important to me so I haven't been telling anyone about it except for the people I super duperly love because they're the only ones that need to know, at least for the early stages.

Right. Here I am again, rambling. Aren't you glad I'm doing this again? I can't sleep right now because I'm thinking about what to pack for Abbotsford (it's less than a week away!) and I just remembered the Counting Crows exist so I downloaded August and Everything After - I remember when I was like, 13 and I stole it from Beth and listened to nothing else for about five weeks straight that summer and when I gave it back, track 5 was scratched - and I've been listening to it for the past twenty minutes and I won't go to bed until I've heard the whole thing maybe twice. Which is fine because I don't realllly have to wake up for another 8 hours. Still early, yet.

Anyways. Track 5 of AAEA is.... Anna Begins.

Might have to watch it on Youtube. I am unsure.
ANYWAYS. I am off to listen some more and stop rambling. I love you dearly. Hope your lives are going well. Would LOVE to hear from you (HINT HINT).

11.07

So today work was really busy and I just got home and sat down and realized how tired I am, which is cool because I plan on catching up on all my tv shows tonight and tomorrow. I'm also going over to mom's tomorrow.

So as decided on Wednesday's post (but really today), this will be the last post until the school year begins again. Obviously, I tweet a lot so you guys can keep up with my life that way, and through my extraneous status updates.

Hailey is watching W right now. It's some Jennifer Aniston show. I'm going to watch Doctor Who, though.

The song is going to be It Ends Tonight by All-American Rejects (lol I know)

I LOVE YOU. That doesn't change just because I don't give you songs every day.

xx

11.06

Friday I was at work again, which always means I have nothing interesting to say. Then Hailey and I went for a food shop, then ate. Then I watched an episode of Supernatural and went to bed because I was super tired, because we stayed up late on Thursday and ordered pizza in the wee hours again.

So yeah. Work was good, though. Didn't do much but play Angry Birds and/or Life and/or Trivial Pursuit. I lost TP to Hailey, but won Life against all takers. It's extra fun when you play it with Doctor Who scores in the background. Although, that can be said about anything. If you don't believe me, just listen to this while you are doing ANYTHING today (brushing your teeth, going pee, walking, typing, playing an otherwise boring and slow board game).

This is All the Strange, Strange Creatures by Murray Gold, who is a genius.

I have an entire mix of songs like this to make myself feel epic when I am otherwise inclined not to feel that way.

xx

11.05

This was meant to be Thursday. I worked on Thursday. Then Hailey and I came home and watched How I Met Your Mother (started at the beginning) and the Office.

Which was so so so hilarious and also really upsetting because it's the season finale and I wasn't ready for it to end. And all my tv shows are ending and I want to cry and I always get this way in the summer but it's okay because I'll have the sunshine and visits from friends and Hailey to occupy my time. So whatever.

Anyways, song.

Love Shack by the B-52's.

11.04

Right. So I was supposed to be doing this and I kind of fail, because it's been a while and now I keep forgetting.

Also, I haven't been on the computer much lately because it takes nearly precise angles and measures to get my computer to charge because the cord is all messed up so I haven't really been using it. I know it breaks your little hearts, but I'm going to have to finish this week out and then stop. I was only doing it until Alex finished school, anyways. I will do my best to continue up again next school year and to actually not forget.

But anyways.

Today's song is going to be Silver Coin by Angus and Julia Stone because it's on a playlist I downloaded and I really like it.

11.03

It's Tuesday.

My power adapter is being weird lately, where it's charging and then it's not. And I know it's the adapter and not the battery because the battery was just replaced and because I abuse my adapter and also I found the kink, so I just need to straighten it out to make it work. However, I think I'll be purchasing a new one off of ebay, to keep as a back-up for when this one goes completely kaput. I would like to be prepared, because does anyone remember when the power cord on my Dell died?

Sad times, my friends. I wanted to kill myself. And I am much more dependent on my computer now than I ever was with my Dell.

Speaking of my Dell, Hailey really likes this picture. Bonus points if you can figure it out. I'm sure you can, though.

Anyways. Song of the day is going to be Blow by Key Dollar Sign Ha.

I know y'all love it.

xx

11.02

It's Monday. Which means it was my day to force Hailey to watch a movie. I picked six movies from Netflix. Five of them were Zooey Deschanel movies, 1 of them was a movie called Sorority Wars, which I picked because I knew it would be bad. Then I told her to pick something from 1-6. She chose Sorority Wars. So we watched that. Which was better than we thought it would be. So, there you go. Hopefully next week, she picks a ZD movie.

Anyways. I worked. Played Angry Birds at work (it's slowly taking over my life, yes) and also, I have a perforated eardrum.

Originally, I thought it was just ear wax covering something and making it all cloudy and strange for my hearing. That was Saturday night. Now it's Monday night and it's painful and I can't hear anything from my right ear. So I have a perforated eardrum. Before you panic, it will fix itself within two months (that's the usual rate of healing, but mine isn't thaaat bad, so I'm hoping a week at the most. Otherwise I will get it checked out, just to confirm my theory.)

So yeah, that's my life lately. Have officially been moved out for one year (and a day but whatever, that doesn't count because I just remembered).

The song today is going to be The First Day of My Life because it played on some tv show that I watched recently and I remember I played it when this thing kicked off and when Alex started university and all that and it's been a while. So here is to new beginnings, although none of us really have anything new starting. Except Hailey, hopefully getting a job at Chapters, and me hopefully getting a job anywhere else. Anyways. Done for day!

Love Bright Eyes.

xx

11.01

IT'S SUNDAY, YOU GUYS. Sundays are fundays.

But I don't really have anything interesting to tell you about it except that I played lots of Angry Birds.

The song is Time of My Life from Dirty Dancing because have you guys seen the trailer for the new Zooey D movie? I will put it below.

SO STOKED.

Anyways, until tomorrow.

10.06

IT'S FRYYYDAY FRYDAY GOTTA GET DOWN ON FRYYDAY.

So yeah, worked today. Wrote a letter to Iram. Watched lots of Dexter with Hailey. Had a nice time?

The song of the day is Hello Hurricane by Switchfoot

So enjoy that and I'll talk to you tomorrow.

10.05

OKAY. So I'm officially back. MacBook was fixed a long time ago but I've been lazy and then I went to Abbotsford anyways so I would have disappeared again. But hi, I'm here.

And I'm watching Big Fat Quiz of the Year, which is amaaazing.

Anyways. The song I'm leaving you with for now is Things I'll Never Say by Avril

Because it was always my favorite.

10.04

It's noon and Hailey is still asleep. So I'm watching Bones. This episode is about Canadians. I've already learned that Canadians are not as polite as people give them credit for. Shocker, there. I also learned that an average foot sweats out an average of one cup of a day. Delightful.

Spoke to Iram on Skype last night for about an hour, which was nice. I miss her a lot, so it's nice to talk to her. I also might be going to England with Jeni at the end of May, work permitting.

Anyways. The song today is going to be by All Caps, because I think we all need something to pump up our Wednesdays.

10.03

So we're ten weeks into PANSED, and Alex still hasn't commented. Which leads me to believe that 1. Alex forgot about it, 2. Alex is too busy to read this blog, or 3. Alex hates me and no longer wants anything to do with me. My personal favorite choice would be 2. Because the others are inexcusable.

Hailey and I watched Chamber of Secrets tonight and I finished the last 40 pages of a book she desperately wanted me to finish. Work was so slow today. We did not make a lot of money. I'm excited to go in tomorrow morning and see the angry e-mail from my DM, being all "THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE, YOU WILL BE FIRED" etc etc, which is usually what happens.

Which reminds me, I need to start looking for a new job. Le sigh.

Anyways, I'm going to quickly just leave you with your song of the day. Which is I'll Catch You by the Get-up Kids. I've loved this song for like, seven years. Still good.

Happy Tuesday, guys!

xx

10.02

Holy crap, has it really been ten weeks? That is crazy.

Hailey and I watched Harry Potter, which you probably know from Twitter. And then I watched Country Strong, which I spared you from, but it was amazing. Not going to lie. I've been looking forward to that movie for like four months now. Something like that.

Anyways. Since I'm in the country mood (and also since Adele's Rumour Has It always reminds me of Reba's version, I'm going to give you that.)

Because Reba is amazing. Let's face it. Also, the HAIR. It's majestic.

Happy Monday, guys.

10.01

SUNDAY. The day of church, and other things. It's 7pm now and I'm just about to get to reading.

Iram got back to England at noon her time, meaning it was 4 in the morning here. And that's pretty depressing. I am turning to melodrama and self-loathing, though I'm not sure why.

Anyways, I miss her. Spoke to her on Skype for about an hour before she went to bed.

Today's song is going to be You Raise Me Up.

Enjoy.

9.07

It's still technically Friday (for another 15 minutes) and Hailey and I are watching Tangled. A beautiful movie. Iram's flight technically leaves tomorrow, but for all intents and purposes, she is gone. I am going to miss her like crazycakes, and I am in lesbians with her and want her babies. And all that fun stuff. Then I got my haircut. Then went to work. Then Hailey and I went grocery shopping. That's basically it.

Anyways, the song today is going to be Ready for the Weekend by Calvin Harris. Just so you guys know what is needed to ensure a GOOD weekend.

Happy Saturday!

xx

9.06

All caught up! Sorry for the absence. Not like anyone minds. Meh. So yeah, also yesterday, Iram made cupcakes. I'm telling you this because Hailey just had one for breakfast. Also today, is Iram's last day. She is being picked up in about 40 minutes and then I won't see her for a while. She's decided to go back to England, and reapply for her Visa through Bunac, so she can stay in Kelowna for another year. So six months at the latest, and she will be back. I'm holding her to it. She's currently at the bank, or I wouldn't be ignoring her for you guys. As much as I love you. Roomzie leaving for a long time takes precedence over friends who can read your blog any time.

Anyways. Hailey says the song of the day should be... nothing, because Hailey can never think anything up on the spot.

So the song of the day is going to be Woodlands National Anthem because it's always been my favorite song (also, Rebellion) by the Arcade Fire. And Alex, so you don't have to look it up again after listening, I've included your favorite Youtube video.

Also, hipster attack.

Enjoy your weekend, guys.

xx
