Okay. Saturday was fun. Tooth is still a little sensitive, but only when I press on it repeatedly to test my boundaries. And don't worry, I haven't become addicted to drugs!

Steph and I started listening to Christmas music yesterday. And again today. We have the JB album. It's beautiful. I also got Hilary Duff's album so starting Monday, that's happening. I won't subject you to it just yet, rather I will leave you with Kick Drum Heart by the Avett Brothers.

Also, NaNoWriMo is kicking my butt. I believe I already mentioned I am 2000 words behind. Hoping to rectify that today and tomorrow but there is only so much these fingers can write. I've also given myself permission to suck. As John Green and Maureen Johnson have promised, it is hugely liberating. But I thought I'd give you a little excerpt of SUCKAGE:

On Friday, I did absolutely nothing. But I forgot to mention my dentist appointment from Thursday. It was grand. I was sick and coughing and my nose was running and it wasn't painful until afterwards when the medication wore off, at which point I was fairly certain I'd never be able to eat again. So I went home early, took some Oxycodone and fell asleep for three hours, made tacos, kind of ate, then watched movies with Hailey, took more Oxycodone, and fell into the most beautiful sleep I've ever had.

On Friday the pain was mostly gone, and my tooth wasn't all that sensitive even though they'd drilled down to my nerve endings and there was blood in my mouth when I brushed my teeth and it was awesome. But I didn't let anything keep me from my first eggnog steamed milk of the season. Or my second. Which was also on the same day. They are that delicious.

So we are here. Which is okay, because I thought I was farther behind. I'm not even going to apologize because Shosh is in Mexico and you know how I am in November, and you know how I am the rest of the time. So suck it. I'm doing NaNoWriMo, and I am about 2000 words behind. So that's cool. My cold is getting better, and my legs are getting hairier and my writing is getting worse and my mind is going crazier. It's okay, though. It will be over soon.

The song for today is going to be Lasso by the Band Perry. Because when we were driving down to Langley, Terra got me addicted to them. And I downloaded the album. Whatever.

So Hailey is refusing to be in the same room as me right now because I'm sick. She's talking to me from down the hall and such. But it's not a catchable cold. It's a sugar-and-lack-of-sleep-induced cold which I am not grateful for. It's the worst today which usually means the last(ish) and that I should be fine by tomorrow. I hope I'm fine by tomorrow.

I haven't had a frappuccino since Friday. That is rare for me. I've been drinking herbal tea all week sans sucre and that's not very fun even if it does help my throat. Anyways. I am having an eggnog steamed milk on Friday no matter what my throat tells me. Nothing will stop me from such deliciousness.

TUESDAY. Was the first of November. I started NaNoWriMo. It's going well so far.

I also started No-Shave November but I've been doing that for the past two weeks so I am WELL prepared. Last year I said not shaving my legs would give me more time to write and vice-versa but then I never really did either. I'm hoping BOTH will be successful this year. I will only wear pants and will leave the house only when necessary.

On Monday, I went to work with a cold and Shoshana went to Mexico. How is that fair?

Still, the weekend was amazing and I went on two casual dates because my social life is better in Abbotsford than in Kelowna. In Kelowna, I have had a total of one date. Which was not so casual and not so fun. But my casual dates in Abbotsford are SUPER FUN and PLENTIFUL. It makes me miss it more.

At any rate, Monday was HALLOWEEN. That was great, yeah? We had a scary movie night. I say scary, but they weren't. We watched the remake of Children of the Corn. Yawn. And 1408. Literal yawn. I went to bed.

HELLO SATURDAY.

Today was Melissa's wedding. And that was fantastic in every way. Everyone looked beautiful and the speeches were magnificent and I was just blown away by how gorgeous Melissa is (again) and it was the best.

Then we had our casual Halloween date. Which was so fun. We made Halloweengerbread houses and went reverse trick-or-treating and danced and put on puppet shows and I'm not bragging or anything but my date was the best.

It was pretty much my favorite thing ever. And since it was the last Halloween thing I am doing - that's a lie. I'm dressing up on Halloween for the trick-or-treating kids and also for our scary movie night, but whatever - I thought an appropriate song would be MONSTER MASH. Obvs.

OMG FRIDAY WAS THE GREATEST. So I had a really weird night's sleep where I was plagued with dreams of people doing drugs and I was charged 6.85 for a drink and my sister was legit chugging soy sauce. So I didn't sleep well. Woke up early and went to work and then Terra drove me down to the dance where I surprised Shoshana and we danced then went on dates at Denny's and stayed out until about 5 am and it was the greatest night.

I had Thursday off. So my mom took me driving. Then Hailey and I went to Pandosy Books and also the Greyhound Station and we took care of business in both places. In the case of Pandosy Books, "business" means buying a Lou Bega CD. No regrets.

SPEAKING OF. We're going to have him today, as I'm sure the only song you've ever heard is Mambo No. 5. But I used to listen to this CD about twenty times a day, every day when I was maybe 10. Because I was classy. And didn't understand how racy it was. Okay, it's not even super racy. He says "butt" because he's classy.

Tuesday. So I'm only a day behind. Cool it.

I hope you guys are well. And excited to see me on Friday, even though I won't make it to the dance. Sad face. Which is totally fine becauuuuuse my costume is a one-show deal. Well, per town. I have to wear a costume at work. However, the children trick-or-treating probably will not understand who Ms Frizzle is. And that is the great downfall of their generation: that they will grow up without the Magic School Bus; without Bill Nye; Boy Meets World; or any of the other shows that practically raised those of us with cable and absent parents. And that is why they are all going to be sluts and whores and that is why the world is falling apart. Because they didn't get a decent education.

THE SONG is going to be by Andrew Belle today because I've been waiting for a while (not as long as Edward has been 17, though) to make you listen to it. He will calm the wildest beast and soothe even the largest aches. He is that good. I am in love with him.

It is WEDNESDAY. I am currently sitting in Hailey's bean bag chair, with 7% battery left on my macbook and absolutely 0% inclination to get my charger. Eric is texting me from his iPad (because iOS5 is beautiful and iMessage is the greatest thing that ever happened to me). And today I'm supposed to be seeing Chelsea but I don't know how that will work because she isn't free until four and I'd have to leave at six to get back in time for Jeremy to pick me up for Institute and gahh. I just don't know if it's worth it for two hours.

Also this is my second day off in a row and I'm going crazy. I can't be left alone this long. Yesterday I cleaned and now I'm just doing laundry and I need things to do and I'm wearing my winter boots while I'm under blankets because I am cold and was too lazy to put real pants on. So I'm one of those girls in uggs but also shorts. I am the worst of human kind.

ANYWAYS. So believe it or not, I have no songs with Wednesday in the title in my iTunes library, despite the LARGE amount of them. (Reserve battery power. awesome.) So I've taken to YouTube for some ideas. It's a great way to learn about new bands I might like. Today, I have chosen Crash Kings. I just fell in love and I hope you guys do too. They are pretty talented. (I have retrieved my cord and also listened to more of their stuff. Mama liiike.)

Tuesday was my day off. YAAAAAY. Hailey and I went to Pandosy Books and I found Roman Holiday, one of my favorite Audrey movies. And I found Ocean's 11 because for some reason, I had 12 and none of the others. Hailey bought them for me. She also got me a tea pot with mug set things, at Value Village, but she broke the lid by dropping it on the ground by accident. So we had to buy it.

And then I cleaned the house and it was generally a great day of laziness and relaxing and spending time with my fantastic roommate. :)

LET IT BE KNOWN THAT TODAY, ON THE FOURTEENTH OF OCTOBER, HAILEY DID NOT TURN ON THE AIR CONDITIONING. FINALLY. I HAVE BEEN FREEZING MY BUTT OFF FOR THE LAST MONTH AND SHE FINALLY TURNED IT OFF. YEEEEEESSSSSSS.

Anyways. I'm watching Big Bang Theory. And downloading all my iTunes purchases onto my phone. Apparently I have downloaded a LOT more songs than I originally thought. Also today, Steph told me about her dentist. Who pulled all four of her wisdom teeth for a little over a grand, which would save me HUNDREDS of dollars and I am really quite pleased. As long as prices haven't gone up in the past few years, I am set.

So I was worried a few days ago about my dress not being Ms Frizzle enough. I think I have solved the problem. I bought stick-on felt flowers, butterflies, dinosaurs, etc and I am simply going to apply them onto my dress the day of the party. I also bought some sticky letters so I can write "The Frizz!" on the back of the dress. I am really excited.

It's like, Thursday or something. I have no idea what day it is anymore. I only know that my alarm went off telling me to make a blog post so HERE I AM.

My day was awesome. Steph and I remerchandised. I came home, sent a letter to Hazel and also sent things off for my student loan. Hopefully I have used enough postage for both of these things. And hopefully StudentAid BC will not tell me I missed something because that would really SUCK.

Also today, I bought my ticket out to Abbotsford. Kind of silly buying it in advance because then I got it mailed to me, which costs $7.00 and after taxes, there's basically no discount at all. Buuut it means less time I have to spend at the station so I can arrive like twenty minutes before instead of an hour before. Which I probably could do anyways but I am mega paranoid. Anyways.

The song today is You Don't Know Me by Ben Folds and Regina Spektor. I hope you like it. I myself just heard it about five seconds ago on Tumblr and I MEGA enjoyed it.

Today, mom took me shopping. I found a red suitcase from the 60's - I wanted a powder blue one, but it was only 6.99 and it was a SAMSONITE. Those things are amazing. So I bought it. And I bought a dress which I may use for Ms Frizzle. But I may not. It is definitely a teacher's dress but I don't know if it's Frizzle enough. If I can find a better dress, I'll buy it. If not, maybe I will suck it up OR change my costume. IDK.

So Tuesday. I had my dentist appointment. And it was awful. The actual appointment was alright. But I need to get ALL FOUR of my wisdom teeth out. And I will need a few days off for that. BUT GUESS WHAT. I can't take any days off until January. Because November and December are Blackout at work. And then in January, I will no longer have dental through work. Because I will be a student. Not a manager. And I get dental through the college but I don't know if it's any good.

But GAH. So anyways, I have three appointments for November: 1 cleaning and 2 fillings. That should be fun.

MONDAY. Actual Thanksgiving day. I did not do a lot today. I went to work and then Hailey and I watched TV and HERE I AM. Yay?

So Alex and I have the same feelings for Abba as we do for cake. I think it's going to be a good relationship. This is why we are fraaans.

Today, I worked. Seems to be a common theme right now, but it will end on Sunday. And then I'm back to a semi-normal work schedule, wherein I actually get some days off in a week. So that's nice. Also, Hailey and I watched Cyberbully, which was one of the worst movies in the world, with a few laughable (but for the wrong reasons) moments and a decent soundtrack. First time I've heard Hannah Georgas somewhere other than my iTunes or Alex's.

All caught up! Happy Friday, people.

It's not super happy for me because I have to go home today and that is sad-making. Buuut I had a lovely, restful week here in Abbotsford and it was nice to see most of my friends and it was AWESOME to be on an awkward group date last night. It wasn't that awkward at all. Though, at one point, I was stirring the spaghetti and the wooden spoon I was using snapped in half. Lost the bottom half in the spaghetti for about twenty minutes. Later, we held a funeral.

Now, I spent my Wednesday helping my dad pack things and move to his new house. We made about four trips back and forth and that was just oodles of fun. Then I went to Institute with Shosh and Tayja and had a blasty-blast.

Yeah, I just realized that I forgot about this for a few nights. My bad! I guess I'm having too much fun in Abbotsford.

On Tuesday, I went to see Crystine and Jaylene and because Crystine is on bed rest, we just sat in bed and talked. And also played Settlers of Catan which is the greatest game ever and I need to buy it.

And that is basically all that happened, except a nice talk with Jenae and hanging out with everyone at night.

So today was spent editing footage from Sunday's awkward date-invite fest, and then calling everyone back and telling them each a different theme for the date.

Then Jenae took me to the mall and we split up so she could return her hair-care products and I could visit Mitchell. I bought him food as Cameron didn't show up for his shift and Mitchell was alone ALL FLIPPING DAY. I got there an hour before close, but that was probably two hours sooner than he would have eaten so I'm sure what little I could do was appreciated anyways.

AND THEN Shanna and Cierra picked me up from the mall. We went to Shanna's house and watched Win a Date with Tad Hamilton and then Material Girls as we ate (junk) food and felt like vomiting. I still have tons left over, though, so it's cool.

After the movies ended, we went for a walk in the Abbotsford MIST and through Discovery Trail. In the woods. When it was dark. Cierra was really terrified and I just kept talking about horror movies. Then we went for a drive and drove past the KKK hang-out and we stopped whenever the rain got really heavy and danced outside. Otherwise, we just screamed along to Hilary Duff songs. It is 1 am and I am soaked and I think Shosh fell asleep on the couch waiting for me/reading her scriptures so I feel bad for taking so long but I had fun and it was nice to see old friends. And Shoshana is asleep in her own bed now.

SUNDAY. Today was fantastic. We (and when I say "we", I mean Shoshana and Jenae) called around and asked a bunch of boys and girls out on dates for an AWKWARD GROUP DATE this Thursday.

And I don't mean I think it will be awkward, I mean I KNOW it will be awkward. As in, we are purposely setting this up to make it awkward. People must arrive at exactly 6:47 this Thursday evening, ring the doorbell upstairs and ask for the basement suite. Daters do not know who they will be dating, and who they will be dating will change throughout the evening. We will serve spaghetti and caesar salad and garlic bread, all with EXTRA garlic, and lemon-water with lemon seeds left in every glass. We have called people we don't really know and Shoshana almost asked out a married man. More on that later.

Anyways. I look forward to that. Tomorrow I am going to see Shanna and Cierra which is very happy-making as is most of my life right now. This time at my home away from home was much needed.

I am sitting in bed/couch right now and the computer is really close but I don't have the energy so I am mobile blogging!

Today was amazing! We did not go to the Dan Mangan concert, which was unfortunate. But we did watch Emperor's New Groove/nap then go to the RS Broadcast and holy blast from the past! Saw someone I never thought I would. An old high school friend I adore was there and she looked so happy and just in love with life and Melissa looks so happy and seeing everyone so happy is very happy-making for me.

Alas, I will stop the paragraphical rant and focus on the song. After all the driving and the music choices while driving, y'all knew it had to be Josh Groban.

Week one is OVER. I think I'll do better with year 3 than I did with year 2. Wherein I gave up after about 10 weeks because it was pathetic.

First day back in Abby. Woke up too early, witnessed an epic verbal assault before boarding, arrived safely, managed to half surprise Shoshana, but she got home too early! Poop. Anyways. Shosh and I went to the mall, bought some things, drove around a bit, had some good times, etc etc and now she is washing her face, so I've got about an hour to write this but figured I wouldn't take that long.

Anyways. On the list of songs I have Recently Purchased (and with this one I am honest-to-goodness not kidding you). It's kind of a strange song but I just love it so much. It reminds me of living on Parkview, at that rare age when all my siblings and I seemed to get along and we would hang out on the trampoline and in our treehouse and light tiny firecrackers and just laugh at everything. So maybe I'll enjoy it more than you. But the banjo playing is pretty great.

Okay, so happy new (school) year, everybody! Mostly Alex. Because of the two people who read my blahg, Alex is the only one going back to school. WHICH IS EXCITING.

I'm excited to be starting this up again, though I'm not sure how long I'll keep it up. I'm always really excited because I have stuff to tell you but most of the time, there is nothing to report from day to day. So for the first week or so, it will be wonderful and then I will get boring and sick of my own rantings and have nothing to report.

Anyways. You two are the only friends outside of Kelowna (okay, and Anna) who know about my secrety secret. I guess it's not really a secret, but it's just something really important to me so I haven't been telling anyone about it except for the people I super duperly love because they're the only ones that need to know, at least for the early stages.

Right. Here I am again, rambling. Aren't you glad I'm doing this again? I can't sleep right now because I'm thinking about what to pack for Abbotsford (it's less than a week away!) and I just remembered the Counting Crows exist so I downloaded August and Everything After - I remember when I was like, 13 and I stole it from Beth and listened to nothing else for about five weeks straight that summer and when I gave it back, track 5 was scratched - and I've been listening to it for the past twenty minutes and I won't go to bed until I've heard the whole thing maybe twice. Which is fine because I don't realllly have to wake up for another 8 hours. Still early, yet.

So today work was really busy and I just got home and sat down and realized how tired I am, which is cool because I plan on catching up on all my tv shows tonight and tomorrow. I'm also going over to mom's tomorrow.

Friday I was at work again, which always means I have nothing interesting to say. Then Hailey and I went for a food shop, then ate. Then I watched an episode of Supernatural and went to bed because I was super tired, because we stayed up late on Thursday and ordered pizza in the wee hours again.

So yeah. Work was good, though. Didn't do much but play Angry Birds and/or Life and/or Trivial Pursuit. I lost TP to Hailey, but won Life against all takers. It's extra fun when you play it with Doctor Who scores in the background. Although, that can be said about anything. If you don't believe me, just listen to this while you are doing ANYTHING today (brushing your teeth, going pee, walking, typing, playing an otherwise boring and slow board game).

It's Tuesday.

My power adapter is being weird lately, where it's charging and then it's not. And I know it's the adapter and not the battery because the battery was just replaced and because I abuse my adapter and also I found the kink, so I just need to straighten it out to make it work. However, I think I'll be purchasing a new one off of ebay, to keep as a back-up for when this one goes completely kaput. I would like to be prepared, because does anyone remember when the power cord on my Dell died?

Sad times, my friends. I wanted to kill myself. And I am much more dependent on my computer now than I ever was with my Dell.

It's Monday. Which means it was my day to force Hailey to watch a movie. I picked six movies from Netflix. Five of them were Zooey Deschanel movies, 1 of them was a movie called Sorority Wars, which I picked because I knew it would be bad. Then I told her to pick something from 1-6. She chose Sorority Wars. So we watched that. Which was better than we thought it would be. So, there you go. Hopefully next week, she picks a ZD movie.

Anyways. I worked. Played Angry Birds at work (it's slowly taking over my life, yes) and also, I have a perforated eardrum.

Originally, I thought it was just ear wax covering something and making it all cloudy and strange for my hearing. That was Saturday night. Now it's Monday night and it's painful and I can't hear anything from my right ear. So I have a perforated eardrum. Before you panic, it will fix itself within two months (that's the usual rate of healing, but mine isn't thaaat bad, so I'm hoping a week at the most. Otherwise I will get it checked out, just to confirm my theory.)

So yeah, that's my life lately. Have officially been moved out for one year (and a day but whatever, that doesn't count because I just remembered).

The song today is going to be The First Day of My Life because it played on some tv show that I watched recently and I remember I played it when this thing kicked off and when Alex started university and all that and it's been a while. So here is to new beginnings, although none of us really have anything new starting. Except Hailey, hopefully getting a job at Chapters, and me hopefully getting a job anywhere else. Anyways. So we're ten weeks into PANSED, and Alex still hasn't commented. Which leads me to believe that 1. Alex forgot about it, 2. Alex is too busy to read this blog, or 3. All caught up! Sorry for the absence. Not like anyone minds. Meh. So yeah, also yesterday, Iram made cupcakes. I'm telling you this because Hailey just had one for breakfast. Also today, is Iram's last day. She is being picked up in about 40 minutes and then I won't see her for a while. She's decided to go back to England, and reapply for her Visa through Bunac, so she can stay in Kelowna for another year. So six months at the latest, and she will be back. I'm holding her to it. She's currently at the bank, or I wouldn't be ignoring her for you guys. As much as I love you. Roomzie leaving for a long time takes precedence over friends who can read your blog any time.

Also, tomorrow. Is Iram's goodbye dinner. Which will be depressing but fun at the same time because everyone will be there.

It's really hard for me to believe it's been a year. I feel like we haven't had enough time. The other day, we were looking back over our Facebook conversations and we knew it was forever ago, and it felt like a long time ago but it didn't at the same time. It's like when we graduated, and I kind of thought - what happened to those four years? Because they disappeared. But then when I thought about things that happened throughout high school, it felt so long ago.

I don't know. I just want her to come back as soon as possible. Anyways! I hope you guys really enjoyed General Conference. I was going to watch it yesterday night but then there was a roomie crisis and my bed was over-encumbered. I'm hoping to find time this week to catch up because GC is always awesome. And I'm hoping it'll give me more motivation not to be so lazy and to do more stuff that I'm supposed to like go to FHE (and if I can't make it, have it at home) and to go to Institute, or just sit at home and read. Instead of being lame and antisocial and staying at home on the internet. I suck lately.

It's super early on a Sunday morning. By super early, I mean nine. But here's the thing. Yesterday, I woke up at 7 because I had a bad dream. And I didn't work until like, 11. Then last night, I was too scared to go to sleep so I literally just had to lie there until 4, when my exhaustion just forced me to sleep. And I woke up at 8-something this morning because of another flipping bad dream. So I didn't get enough sleep either night and I have this sick feeling in my stomach that you get from waking up too early and murmur murmur and I'm dead.

Lots of drama happening last night and today. Not betwixt members of the house, but between a member of the house and another person. I don't think she'd appreciate me saying anything, and I'm not exactly sure about the end-game yet, but I'm hoping everything works out. Just as I typed that, the sun came out. Effing sun. Maybe I'll take a bike ride today. Maybe, since the three of us have the day off, we can go somewhere. Unless Iram stays out all day, with like, her social life. Iderknooow.

ANYWAYS. I hope you guys liked Glee week. If I extended it to two weeks, I could have lots more songs! Glee is something that needs to be experienced over a long period of time. But that's cool. A week is all you need since we all watch it. Because obviously, I can spread them out in other weeks.

It's SATURDAY.

Friday was Iram's last day at work. Which was depressing. Because she leaves in a week. And I don't want that. I like having two roommates. It would, of course, be easier if we had three bedrooms. But we'll work on that. Maybe when Iram comes back, we can get a 3 bedroom and just like, sublet the room during the 6 or 7 months she is back in England. Or get a large two bedroom like Alex and Carissa (and that other skank) have, and then two of us can share a room. I wouldn't mind it.

Hailey and Iram are amazing and we all get along really well, and I'll be sad to lose Iram. I really don't want her to go. WAAAAH.

HELLLUUR.

On Thursday, I had the day off. Hailey and I went to Peachland because the sun was out! We sat on the beach for ten minutes then went back to the car because it was super windy. And we went to Bliss Bakery and Sally's Beauty Supply and went to Edo for lunch, and it was an awesome day. It's really lovely having Hailey here. I've been missing her for such a long time and I finally have her back!

Iram leaves in a week. Which is really weird. And scary. And I don't want to think about it. But she is going to go home, and reapply for a Visa, so she will hopefully be back in six months, for another year! Which would be awesome. And hopefully she does that continuously until she can finally live here for realz. Because I don't want to be without mah Iramz.

Hailey and I did a Social Network Commentary drinking game with Pina Colada and Five Alive. We made it 45 minutes before we ran out of both drinks, which was fine with both of us because we felt super sick and also on a huge sugar high, terrible enough to rival the angel food cake Shoshana and I once made. It also got kind of boring at points (mostly when David Fincher was talking) and sometimes when people were just saying boring things.

I worked today, too. It was... work. I was alone for the last two and a half hours so I started to re-read I am the Messenger which I loved the first time and am loving as much this time around. Hailey picked me up from work, too, as she's been doing this entire week. It's wonderful. I also wore my new wedges from Spring. Which gave me blisters (amazing, no?). Reminded me of the blisters from Ottawa. Also from wedges, I believe. I am just not meant for those shoes. But they are SO CUTE. Might wear them with tights. You don't care. Anyways.

Yeah, so my day was lovely. (HOW WAS YOURS?)

Today's Glee cover is Don't Make Me Over because it's one of my favorites (still) from like, the very beginning. Mercedes is crazy-cakes good and I just love this song to death.

HAI GUYZ.

It's Sunday. And I have to work. Hopefully the last of them! Iram has been getting Sundays off recently because she has been going away a lot, traveling and such before she leaves. So I'm working Sundays. But this is actually her last week at work. Which is weird. And it means she has less than two weeks until she leaves and I might cry.

We've both kind of been in denial. I wonder if I'll cry at her farewell. We're having a goodbye dinner for her about a week from now, and I won't cry then. I'm just wondering if I'll cry when I have to say goodbye to her for real. When her things are packed in the back of Tim's car (if he can drive her to Vancouver) and I know I won't see her for a while.

She has plans to come back in the summer and everything, but I don't know. Anyways. I've decided (just now) that I want this week to be Glee: My Favorite Covers. I won't use Landslide because I used it last week but you can be CERTAIN that is my numbah one.

I wanted to kick this off with the Biebs, but that might be a bit racy for a Sunday. So we'll go instead with One of Us. Don't worry, you'll get your Biebs tomorrow. This wasn't really one of my faaavorites, but it fits for a Sunday and I mean, of course they were brilliant. Basically because Rachel doesn't have lead vocals. I love her, but why does she get EVERY song?

Things are going well here. Just same stuff as usual. Finally watched the Goonies. Don't know why I've been putting it off for so long. Such an awesome movie. And Hailey and I played Mario Kart last night which was beautiful. She mostly beat me because she's had more of a chance to play and because I just suck at all Nintendo games and Hailey is more hardcore than me.

Alrighty. Monday is OVER.

Hailey moved in, it was epic. She's going to unpack tomorrow because Iram and I will both be at work. Today, we bought her a bookshelf for all her DVD's. We will ~~probably~~ definitely need another one for all her books.

So first week back after that awesome vacation.

HELLOOOOOOOO. So right now, the only things I can listen to are 1. The new Britney album and 2. Landslide, you know the one from Glee. Because Naya Rivera and Heather Morris are like my favorites and the scene was so emotional and my creys.

And I know Alex will not really appreciate any Britney, so I'm going to go with Landslide. I hope you are having lovely times without me. I am currently preparing for Hailey tomorrow. HAI GAIZ.

I don't know what time I went to bed last night, but it was earlier than usual and I was with Iram, so no time to do a blog post.

Last night, I went to see No Strings Attached with Amy. It was really funny, but also hugely inappropriate at a few moments. I was worried I wouldn't like it and that Natalie Portman had been ruined for me after Black Swan, but it was wonderful. Her character was hilarious.

So Alex mentioned in the comments yesterday that I forgot to mention the best part of her Valentine's Day. And yes, we did Skype for like an hour and it was beautiful, and then she went to bed, and I talked to Ashley for like four hours and Shosh came back for a bit to say goodbye and all in all, I had a nice Valentine's Day, as previously mentioned. I love the internet. And the people I spoke to that night.

Anyways. Today is Wednesday. You know what that means. I LEAVE TOMORROW. I am. so. stoked.

I have to make it through today. Then I don't care. Because I make it through today, and it's Thursday and I'm like OMG I'M LEAVING TODAY. As Valentine's Days go, today was pretty awesome.

Worked, obviously. Timmy Ho's messed up my breakfast. Robert went back and got it fixed for me because he's a sweetheart. Starbucks didn't have enough creme base for two frappuccinos, so I got one and Amy got her money back. Then I discovered I don't like Strawberry so Amy got mine. Which was fine.

And then work was... work. Jeni came in early because she wanted to take a two hours break to get her nails done with Iram. Robert gave me a chocolate rose. I came home to a box of chocolates from Iram. Hazelnut. Which I don't like. But it's the thought that counts!

I bought Iram a chocolate heart thing from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. Good times. And I made everyone Valentine's, some of which can be found on Facebook.

So anyways, I'm going to bed now. Another 2am sleep. I get to sleep in on Wednesday, though. A bit. Maybe an extra hour. I don't know. I'll sleep on the bus.

OOOOHH and tomorrow, I'm going to see Country Strong with Amy. I'm stoked! Been wanting to see it for a while and I haven't hung out with that child in aaages. Right, the song.

Sooooo my day was really eventful. After all last night's drama, Iram went to bed, and I tried. Then at like, 2:45, I was trying to sleep, just listening to music. Then I heard the people upstairs walking around. And I was like "Dude, we should be friends." and then I heard their fire alarm go off. It was really quiet, but I was like "That's awesome, they're cooking at this hour!" and then I was relieved because it was so quiet so that explained why nobody ever complained about ours going off.

Then Iram opened the door, and I realized the fire alarm was going off throughout the entire building.

So we put our boots on, our coats on, grabbed keys, left the building. I had taken my hair out so my bangs were like, sticking up on end all sexy and my hair was super greasy and nasty from the bun it was in all day.

Basically I was one hot mess, at 3am. And the firemen showed up. Gotta say, they are pretty sexy in this town. We also discovered that there are cute guys in the building, who are our age. I'm guessing they live on 2nd and 3rd floor. I just feel it.

Then we couldn't get back to sleep so we watched a movie. It was beautiful. Bed at 5am, with work the next day!

Anyways, I'm watching Bones. After that, BED. Hopefully. Tomorrow, after work, I am going out for dinner with someone you might knooow. Her name is Peggy Haire! She is in Kelowna until Tuesday so we planned to have dinner tomorrow night. I'm excited! I miss everyone from Abby, and she is amazing. Then on Sunday, I work. Monday, skype date with Alex and Shoshana after work (and I'm making cheesecake). Tuesday, movie with Amy. We're going to see Country Strong. And I'm giving her cheesecake.

Wednesday, I work late. And Thursday, I am... LEAVING. I've made sure to be busy every night so I don't whittle away my time, just wanting to be in Abby/Ottawa. Obviously I am very excited and need to think of other things so I don't get carried away.

RIGHT. The song. It's going to be... Neutral Milk Hotel, because Alex keeps talking about them and they are pretty amazing. Alex told me about them twice, and I was like dude, of course I know them. After all, they were featured heavily in a John Green novel. So one of my favorites is Where You'll Find Me. And that's what's happening now.

WHAT UP.

So I have tomorrow off. Then I am working 8 days straight until Thursday the 17th when I am GOING. TO. ABBOTSFORD. And the epic journey begins. So someone needs to educate me in the ways of the Greyhound. Like, I'm allowed my luggage, carry-on, and THEN my purse? I just need to know if that's right. And how big is my carry-on allowed to be? I plan on bringing EVERYTHING I OWN, so these questions are important.

Also - country phase is mostly in check. So far, it's been limited to the Country Strong soundtrack. Mainly of the Leighton Meester variety. So that's not even really country. Either way. Alex, you have nothing to worry about. If worse comes to worst, I have a four-hour bus ride to tire of it. So, rest assured.

Alex, you're welcome I didn't spoil Glee. tbh, I didn't really think about it. But I hope you've seen it, because it's on again TONIGHT and you need to be caught up for the Blaine/Kurt cuteness. I used to hate Rachel, but the Superbowl episode redeemed her.

Anyways. As you know, I'm going back to my country phase. These usually last me a while, but I'm good at keeping them hidden. It probably helps that I already listen to Taylor SwizzleStick, Carrie Underwood and Kellie Pickler. But I woke up this morning and was like "NEED COUNTRY STRONG SOUNDTRACK."

I want to see the movie because 1. Leighton Meester and 2. Gwyneth Paltrow and 3. Cheesy heartwarming tales.

Right. So due to the fact that I'll be leaving REALLY DANG SOON for Abbotsford (and then Ottawa), I've decided on one of my faaaavorite Carrie songs, Get Out of This Town. Pay attention to the lyrics, especially where she says

OKAY. It's Sunday. Superbowl Sunday. Didn't watch, but I can tell you the Packers won 31-25. LAAAME. Zachary Levi and I wanted the Steelers to win. (Just FYI, I wanted them to win before I knew Hailey's man Zach wanted them to win.)

LOL So I posted the last two days of Week 4 as week 2. And I also forgot to post 4.06, but it was a draft. It's up now, so go back for your Britney fix! lol I was basically like, why did they BOTH skip over 4.06? Silly geese. But no, that was my bad. Good stuff.

So as Alex and Shosh know... Today, I decided to quit my job. It was for a multitude/plethora/cornucopia/vast number/etc of reasons that I decided this. But the main one: I'm not happy.

I haven't been happy for a while. I take no pride in the job I do and it's just mentally exhausting. Because of this, I don't work hard enough. I have to take a deep breath before I start work and prepare myself for the nine hours ahead. I am bored, I'm not challenged, I just want to sit in the back room and cry sometimes. It takes all my energy to stay standing and smile. So I've been thinking about quitting for a while but had no idea where to go/what to do. I feel like if I leave my job, I'll just get another crappy retail job I'm not happy with and that's as far as I'll ever go. I'm afraid of failing.

Today, Iram got mad at me because she feels like she's doing all the work. Because basically, she is. I had no excuse to give her, because even though I'm worn out and everything, nothing I said would have made it okay that I wasn't doing my job. So I said nothing. But basically, she gets mad at me at work. And that affects us at home. So she spends more time out with Jeni and Courtney, and more time ignoring me. Truth be told, I'm just lonely. Which makes it worse. It basically means my only human interaction is Robert. So when Robert comes into the store, I'm just glad to have someone to talk to. So I go to the bank with him. I go for a walk. I go on break with him. Iram, in turn, gets more upset because I'm never in the store.

Robert was the manager at my store before I was, and he knows exactly how I feel about all this. So I'm grateful to have him to talk to. I just made up my mind, once and for all, that when I get back from Ottawa, I'm going to look for a new job. And I'm going to leave. My goal for the end of March is to be at a different job, and my goal for April is to be happy.

Hailey is moving up in March. And that's exciting like you would not believe! I have to wait two weeks (ELEVEN DAYS) to go to Ottawa, then Hailey is moving in, about three/four days after I get back. So hopefully, human interaction. Someone to talk to. Someone to hang out with. Someone to do stuff with. I just miss what my life was like when I first started working at International. Iram and I were best friends, now it seems like she can barely tolerate me.

Anyways, I've complained enough. That's what is going on in my life. Today's song is going to be This Year by the Mountain Goats. Although, truth be told... eleven days. Alex, if you like them, I'll send more stuff your way. You too, Shosh.

Oh nooo! We're on our last day of Britney Week! Parting was such sweet sorrow....

So her 6th studio album was Circus (but we're counting it as 7, because there was Remix CD) and technically number 8 is her Singles Collection.

We're not going to go with If You Seek Amy, because that is a little inappropriate, but that still leaves us with 14 amazing tracks to choose from!

Britty co-wrote three of these (or something) and wrote My Baby ALL BY HERSELF. MY baby is all growed up!

Womanizer isn't one of my favorites, but it's super catchy so I think we're going to go with that! Admit it, Alex, you love it.

Brit's fourth album was In the Zone. To be honest, this was the album I didn't really listen to. I mean, I remember Everytime and Toxic coming out, and I remember loving them. But when this album came out, I guess I was a bit absent. She co-wrote 8 of the 12 songs, taking more control every album, winning all kinds of awards, being amazing.
